2. Visiting the website (server log files)

When you access this website, your browser transmits technically necessary data that our host stores in log files: the page requested, the time, the volume of data transferred, the referrer, browser type and version, operating system and the IP address. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in the secure and stable operation of the website. The data is deleted after 30 days at the latest.

3. Contacting us by email

This website offers no contact form and collects no contact data itself. If you wish to write to us, your message leaves your own email programme and reaches our mailbox directly; the website plays no part in it.

If you write to us, we process the data you provide — your sender address, your name and the content of your message — solely in order to answer your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR for pre-contractual enquiries and otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in answering enquiries addressed to us.

Our mailbox is hosted at Google Workspace (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place; where data is transferred to the USA in the course of this (Google LLC), the transfer is based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the standard contractual clauses.

We delete the data as soon as the enquiry has been fully dealt with and no statutory retention periods apply.

4. Appointment booking

We use Calendly for arranging meetings. The provider is Calendly LLC, 271 17th St NW, Atlanta, GA 30363, USA. The booking page is hosted at calendly.com and is only loaded once you actively click the appointment link on this website. No Calendly scripts and no Calendly cookies are embedded on this website itself; without your click, no connection to Calendly is established.

When you click, your IP address is transmitted, along with the details you subsequently enter in the booking form. Calendly’s own privacy policy (calendly.com/privacy) applies to the processing that takes place on the booking page. The transfer to the USA is based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the standard contractual clauses. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) or (f) GDPR — taking steps prior to entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in a straightforward way of arranging appointments.

5. Hosting

This website is operated by Vercel. The provider is Vercel Inc., USA; the site is delivered from servers in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Vercel; the provider processes the log data mentioned above solely in order to provide the website. Where data is transferred to the USA in the course of this, the transfer is based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the standard contractual clauses.

6. Fonts and external content

The typefaces used (Spectral and Archivo) are served from our own server. No connection is made to Google Fonts or comparable services. External content is not loaded automatically.

7. Cookies

This website sets no cookies for analytics, tracking or marketing purposes. Technically necessary cookies are used only where they are required to operate the website; under § 25 (2) TDDDG no consent is required for these.

8. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), data portability (Art. 20 GDPR) and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR). Please contact contact@metawalk.app to exercise these rights.

9. Right to lodge a complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und für das Recht auf Akteneinsicht Brandenburg, Stahnsdorfer Damm 77, 14532 Kleinmachnow, Germany.

10. Status

This privacy policy will be updated as soon as our processing changes — for instance through new features or service providers.

Draft. Please have it reviewed by a lawyer before publication and adapt it to the service providers actually used (hosting, appointment booking, email mailbox).
